General presentation
This video presents the PERCISIO medical device, highlighting two key steps: the construction of the hologram and the procedural workflow. For demonstration purposes, we will use the abdominal phantom provided by CIRC.
Technical overview
This video outlines PERCISIO’s technical choices in comparison to other technologies, such as electromagnetic and infrared tracking. It also addresses the challenge of determining the patient’s pose and explains how PERCISIO effectively resolves it.
Breathing monitoring
Monitoring breathing is a key challenge during surgery, as it is a major factor that alters the geometry of the anatomy. Breathing causes organs and targets to move, and this shift can pose significant challenges for accurate instrument guidance. This video demonstrates PERCISIO’s capability to effectively manage the impact of breathing on anatomical motion.
Two cameras
A multi-camera configuration can be beneficial for covering a larger area. This demonstration showcases the ability to fuse video streams from two cameras into a single dataset.
Augmented Reality
The augmented reality mode for medicine allows practitioners to stay focused on the procedure while getting information from the device. The demonstration shows the coupling of PERCISIO with the Magic Leap 2 augmented reality headset.
